ADOR Vows Strong Legal Action as Malicious Content Targeting NewJeans Surges
NewJeans
ADOR said on the 17th via its official social channels that it has been continuously monitoring domestic and international online communities, music platforms and social media since NewJeans’ debut, requesting swift takedowns and pursuing strict legal action against posts that defame the artists. The label added that overseas-based sites are no exception, noting a recent surge in malicious content.

The company said that malicious fake news, invasions of privacy, slurs and derogatory labels, and deepfake abuse targeting NewJeans have reached an alarming level. ADOR plans to file criminal complaints against the authors of such posts on major platforms including Naver News, DC Inside, Instiz, Nate Pann, MLBPARK and Theqoo.

On deepfake cases, ADOR noted that while some offenders recently sought settlements, the company refused, reaffirming its intent to pursue full accountability. The label thanked fans for their love and support and pledged to keep safeguarding the group’s rights.

On the 14th, all five members chose not to appeal the trial court’s ruling in a suit confirming the validity of their exclusive contracts, making the decision final. As a result, NewJeans’ exclusive contracts with ADOR remain legally in force. Even with the contract dispute settled, the group’s return is still being ironed out, leaving a full-group comeback uncertain.

HAERIN and HYEIN formally announced their return through ADOR on the 12th, while MINJI, DANIELLE and HANNI signaled their intent to resume activities the same day via separate statements. ADOR said it is coordinating individual meetings with those members and is not yet committing to when all five will be back together.
