Song Joong-ki Returns to Japan for First Fan Meeting in 14 Years: "You Gave Me Strength"
Song Joong-kiSong Joong-ki touched down in Japan for his first fan meeting there in 14 years―and fans made sure the wait was worth it.

On November 12 in Tokyo and November 14 in Osaka, the actor hosted the “2025 Song Joong Ki Fan Meeting ‘Stay Happy’ in Japan.” Returning to the Japan fan-meeting stage for the first time in over a decade, the venues buzzed with warmth and excitement.

He opened the show with a Japanese rendition of “Confession,” and his first greeting―equal parts giddy and heartfelt―instantly lifted the room.

During a talk segment, Song shared the little things that make him happy these days, from routines to personal tastes. He wrote answers in Japanese on a tablet and, when he stumbled over a word, playfully turned to the crowd for help, keeping the exchange intimate and fun.

One of the night’s most touching moments came when he spotted a fan holding a slogan from his 2011 Japan fan meeting. Song took the sign, added his autograph backstage, and personally returned it with a sincere thank-you to the longtime supporter.

Special guests Yang Kyung-won, Oh Eui-sik, and Lim Cheol-soo amped up the energy with smart song picks and quick-witted banter. Their easy camaraderie with Song―equal parts brotherly and chaotic―showcased a tight-knit bond that delighted the crowd.

Closing out the event, Song told fans, “Seeing your faces up close again gave me so much strength. This reminded me how grateful I am to be an actor. I won’t forget your support and love, and I’ll do my best to greet you again with good work.” After the show, he stayed until the very end, sending fans off one by one as they exited the venue.

Wrapped in cheers and heartfelt messages, the Stay Happy fan meeting felt like a genuine reunion between Song Joong-ki and his Japanese fans.
