Kim Hye-soo is throwing her support behind the indie film “People and Meat,” hosting a celebrity screening to help bring more moviegoers into theaters.
“People and Meat” is a cheeky, heart-tugging dramedy about three seniors who team up for a mischievous, meat-fueled quest to score free meals―only to rediscover the flavor of life along the way.
Buzz has been building as celebrities and sponsors rally around the movie, and Kim is leading the seventh installment of the film’s celebrity-backed screening series.

Eager to get even one more person in the door, Kim has arranged two fan-friendly showings―including a weekend slot―to make it easier for newcomers to catch the film, a thoughtful gesture that underscores her support.
Details for the Kim-backed celebrity screening will be announced via distributor Triple Pictures’ social channels.
“People and Meat,” which opened in Korea on October 7, has surpassed 30,000 admissions nationwide. Stars including Choi Kang-hee, Teo Yoo, Kim Tae-ri, and Myung Films head Shim Jae-myung have hosted screenings or publicly encouraged audiences to check it out.
