Lee Je-hoon Returns in 'Taxi Driver 3' with High-Octane Action & Scene-Stealing Alter Egos
Taxi DriverLee Je-hoon is set to captivate viewers all over again with an all-around turn in "Taxi Driver 3".

Premiering Friday, Nov. 21, SBS’s new Friday-Saturday series "Taxi Driver 3" (written by Oh Sang-ho; directed by Kang Bo-seung) adapts the hit webtoon of the same name. The vigilante procedural follows the secretive company Rainbow Taxi and driver Kim Do-gi as they deliver payback on behalf of victims failed by the system. The previous season peaked at 21% nationwide ratings, ranking No. 5 among all Korean broadcast and cable dramas since 2023, cementing "Taxi Driver" as a proven mega IP and stoking anticipation for its return.

All eyes are on Lee’s third outing as the K-drama dark hero who helped spark the trend. As Rainbow Taxi’s ace and relentless villain-hunter Kim Do-gi, he tore through bone-crunching hand-to-hand fights and adrenaline-pumping car chases, turning the show into an action destination. His chameleon undercover work ― slipping into a slew of alter egos, from a school loner to a country farmer to a shaman ― gave the series extra bite, earning the character a fan nickname: “God Dogi.” Creator and writer Oh Sang-ho has said, “Whatever we threw at Lee Je-hoon, he made possible. He was a huge pillar while crafting Season 3.”

This time, fans can expect an even bigger acting showcase. In the newly released highlight reel, Lee appears in his signature bomber jacket, unleashing more dynamic action that’s sure to spike heart rates. The season also teases fresh personas every week ― including a swaggering hustler and a lovable pushover ― promising comedy, action, and undercover play that show off Lee’s full range.

At the press conference, Lee said, “I went into this season determined to pour everything I’ve got into it. I think Kim Do-gi will cement his place as a definitive dark-hero character.” He added, “I threw everything into the alter egos in Episodes 1 and 2. In Episodes 3 and 4, there’s a cute, lovable persona I’m especially attached to. There are more characters throughout, and I can’t wait for you to see them.” With expectations soaring, fans are eager to see what new legend-making moments Lee delivers in Season 3.

Selected for 2025 production support by South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Communications Agency (KCA), "Taxi Driver 3" premieres Friday, Nov. 21 at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
