Uhm Jung-hwa is headed back to the big screen with "Okay! Madam 2".

Five years after the 2020 summer hit "Okay! Madam," Uhm reprises her lead role as Lee Mi-young in the follow-up.

"Okay! Madam 2" finds the family―who once pulled off a high-altitude airplane rescue―mysteriously invited aboard a lavish cruise liner, where unpredictable chaos ensues. A mix of returning favorites and fresh faces is already dialing up anticipation.

In the original, Uhm played Mi-young, a market vendor running a twisted-doughnut shop while hiding a secret past, effortlessly pairing warm, family-first charm with undercover-hero charisma. Her go-for-broke hand-to-hand action and sharp comic beats supercharged the film, and her crackling chemistry with on-screen husband Seok-hwan (Park Sung-woong) was a crowd-pleaser.

This time, she once again anchors the story, swept into a string of suspicious incidents at sea and serving up zippy, laugh-out-loud set pieces. Expect a bigger, more satisfying knockout punch powered by her trademark energy and charisma―delivering both laughs and thrills.

Known for moving fluidly between action, drama, romance, and comedy, Uhm recently made a splash on the small screen in September with Genie TV’s original series "My Troublesome Star," playing comeback-bound top star Bong Cheong-ja. Her genre-hopping range drew both ratings and buzz.

"Okay! Madam 2" began filming in October and is currently in production.
