On the Nov. 23 episode of SBS’s "My Little Old Boy," the vocalist appeared as a special MC and belted out a cappella snippets of her hits, drawing big cheers from the panel of celebrity moms―known on the show as the “Mom-vengers.”
Baek then shared that her biggest worry lately had been possible menopause symptoms. “One night I woke up drenched in sweat. I was getting touchy over little things and felt exhausted,” she said.
“As I got to the age where you start wondering if it’s menopause, I didn’t know what to do,” she continued. “I even thought about going to an OB-GYN for a full workup. A friend told me about a measurement kit, so I bought one and took the test.”
“Thankfully, the results said I wasn’t there yet,” Baek added with a laugh. “Maybe that put my mind at ease, because after that I was sweating less, I wasn’t as irritable, and my body felt so much lighter.”
She also revealed a cute mom moment: her 9-year-old daughter is in the same class as the children of Kim Tae-hee and RAIN, as well as model Jang Yoon-ju. Commentator Seo Jang-hoon chimed in, “I heard at the school sports day, Jung Suk-won and RAIN signed up for the parents’ tug-of-war, and the other moms and dads got nervous.”
“Jang Yoon-ju’s husband is pretty strong, too,” Baek replied. “So the three of them lined up at the front of the rope. They felt so much pressure to win that they actually drew up a plan―at a kids’ sports day!” She laughed, adding, “They ended up scraping their arms raw, but they won, got a big round of applause, and that was that.”
When Seo asked how they managed to beat younger parents, Baek joked, “Pure pressure and competitive spirit. That’s what did it.”
