Lead actors Ha Jung-woo, Kong Hyo-jin, Kim Dong-wook and Lee Hanee observed a moment of silence for the late Lee Soon-jae as their new film, 'The People Upstairs,' made its first public bow.
At a press screening and media Q&A held at Seoul’s COEX Megabox, the four stars took the stage just before the session began to honor the beloved screen legend, who had passed away earlier that day. Dressed in monochrome black and gray, they offered a quiet tribute to one of Korean entertainment’s most respected elders.
'The People Upstairs' follows an upstairs couple (Ha Jung-woo and Lee Hanee) and the downstairs pair (Kong Hyo-jin and Kim Dong-wook) whose building tensions―sparked by raucous, very adult late-night noise―lead to a single dinner that spirals in unpredictable ways. It marks Ha’s fourth turn behind the camera and opens Dec. 3 in Korea.
