A one-night “Lee Hee-jun Special” will take over Arirang Cine Center’s IndieWave Theater on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, offering a rare look at the star’s expansive range and his next chapter as a creator.
The showcase spotlights Lee’s layered emotional nuance and chameleon-like turns, pairing standout performances with his own work behind the camera.
The program unfolds in two sections. First up is a screening of "Dear Dolphin" (2013), followed by a post-screening Q&A with Lee and director Kang Jin-a.
The second section presents his autobiographical short "Mad Rush" alongside the upcoming release "Rectangle, Triangle," which was invited to this year’s Jeonju International Film Festival. After the screenings, Lee will meet audiences for an in-person conversation.
The retrospective promises an intimate look at Lee Hee-jun as both actor and filmmaker, moving fluidly between the screen and storytelling.
