BLACKPINK to Paint Tokyo Pink with Third Tokyo Dome Takeover

As BLACKPINK gears up for its third run at Tokyo Dome, Japan is rolling out welcome events across major city centers.

According to YG Entertainment, starting today (the 1st) through January 18, the group is teaming with Kobe Port Tower on a special light-up. The project, celebrating BLACKPINK’s Tokyo Dome shows set for January 16-18, 2026, will expand nationwide with a rolling “Pink Light-Up” campaign at landmark towers across Japan.

Kobe leads the charge by turning its signature Port Tower and surrounding district into a “BLACKPINK spot,” bathing the city in rosy hues. Fans will find fresh concept visuals throughout the streets, along with a range of interactive experiences.

On the fifth-floor rooftop observatory, a wraparound photo zone lets visitors film sequentially from the entrance to create a filmstrip-style clip. There’s also a photo exhibition from the world tour and a cafe serving limited-run menu items inspired by BLACKPINK’s color palette―drawing long lines from day one.

The Tokyo Dome dates mark BLACKPINK’s third time headlining the venue, following shows in 2019 and 2023. Anticipation is sky-high for the group’s first standalone concerts in Japan in about two years and nine months. Since July, pop-up stores have been rotating through major department stores in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Nagoya, with additional pop-ups at nine LOFT locations nationwide―still pulling steady crowds.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is in the midst of its BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE>, which kicked off in July with the first-ever K-pop girl group concert at Goyang Sports Complex. The 33-show, 16-city trek has wrapped North America and Europe and is now connecting with fans across Asia.
