The SBS romance series, fronted by Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin, has turned its twisty love square into a worldwide obsession. According to Netflix’s official site Tudum, the show ranked No. 1 on the Global Top 10 for Non-English TV for the week of Nov. 24-30―rising from No. 3 in its premiere week to No. 2 in week two, and now No. 1 in week three.
Recent episodes poured gasoline on the drama: Gong Ji-hyeok (Jang Ki-yong) misread a kiss between Kim Sun-woo (Kim Moo-joon) and Yoo Ha-young (Woo Da-bi) as an affair and went into full-on protector mode for Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin). When Da-rim suddenly collapsed, Ji-hyeok rushed her to the ER, declined Sun-woo’s call on her phone, and confessed, “I want to be the only one by your side. I think I’m losing my mind.” Cue collective fan meltdown.
With Ji-hyeok finally facing his own feelings, viewers are bracing for a major shift in his slow-burn romance with Da-rim―and the anticipation is spiking.
Right after Episode 6, the production dropped new stills of Ji-hyeok and Da-rim locked in a tender gaze, stoking even more buzz.
In the photos, Ji-hyeok keeps vigil by Da-rim’s bedside in the ER, his every glance and small gesture telegraphing how much he cares. When Da-rim wakes and spots him, she looks startled―especially after previously insisting she didn’t want to be a burden. How she reacts next is the question everyone’s asking.
“Episode 7, airing today, sweeps Ji-hyeok and Da-rim into an emotional whirlwind,” the production team teased, adding that the characters can’t suppress the pull they feel toward each other, no matter what their heads say. “The intensity will heighten their romance and draw viewers in even deeper.”
They also praised the leads’ layered performances through the show’s big emotional swings, noting that Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin worked closely on set to shape the drama’s most pivotal moments.
Caught in a love storm with no easy exit, Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin’s story continues in Episode 7 of “Dynamic Kiss,” airing tonight at 9 p.m. KST.
