The SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Taxi Driver 3," based on the hit webtoon, follows the clandestine Rainbow Taxi company and driver Kim Do-gi as they deliver vigilante justice for people failed by the system. Just two weeks in, the series has already surged to a 15.4% peak nationwide rating (per Nielsen Korea), ranking No. 4 among all miniseries aired this year, while topping domestic and international streaming charts.
Ahead of Episode 5 on Dec. 5, producers dropped new stills of Kim Do-gi (Lee Je-hoon) and Choi Kyung-goo (Jang Hyuk-jin) infiltrating a gambling ring ― sparking questions about their endgame.
In the images, Do-gi sits at the table, laser-focused on the man across from him ― clearly hunting a villain, not the pot. Meanwhile, Choi transforms into a high-roller: a sharp white pinstripe suit, oversized bug-eye shades and a hefty gold watch telegraph the kind of moneyed swagger that turns heads.
The sequence finds the team closing in on the truth behind a 15-year-old cold case that Jang Sung-chul (Kim Eui-sung) once took on as Rainbow Taxi’s very first request but couldn’t solve: the disappearance and presumed murder of Jingwang University volleyball player Park Min-ho (Lee Do-han). Expect Do-gi and Choi’s tag-team hustle to shake down their prime suspect and send him on a one-way trip to ruin. As ever, fans are eager to see what form the Rainbow crew’s signature eye-for-an-eye justice takes next.
"Taxi Driver 3" airs Episode 5 tonight (Dec. 5) at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
