Airing Dec. 5, the episode welcomes the incomparable Lee Mi-sook as the ninth “My Star.”
Lee, who broke out after placing in the 1978 Miss Lotte pageant, has spent 48 years moving seamlessly between film and TV and is considered an all-time legend. Fresh off the buzz of "Tempest," she’s gearing up for her next project; in keeping with her role as a “first-generation fashion designer,” she heads out wardrobe hunting with hosts Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu.
Locked into the season’s fall-in-your-feels vibe, Lee asks the ‘Manager Seojin’ crew to match her mood―sending the team into comic disarray. Lee Seo-jin, an MBTI “T” to the core, just can’t get on her wavelength, quipping with a wry smile, “Forget passion―feelings are even tougher.”
Kim Kwang-kyu doesn’t quite sync with her either and blurts, “Did you get work done on your face?” The needle-sharp question reportedly brings the set to a standstill―until Lee Mi-sook fires back with a comeback that leaves him flustered. How she handles the plastic-surgery chatter is being kept under wraps for the broadcast.
