With the cast prepping dinner, Yoo manned a roaring-hot cauldron and rushed to get a pot of kimchi jjigae going after the heat came up faster than expected.
HAHA jumped in, tossing in a grab bag of ingredients. When Choi Daniel asked how many portions they were aiming for, HAHA quipped, “We’re feeding the crew ― let’s call it 20 servings,” cracking everyone up.
Then came the bold moves: HAHA went full “mom recipe,” pouring in a heavy glug of sesame oil and even a scoop of chicken stock, turning heads at the stove.
For an extra twist, the team added thick cuts of fresh tuna belly to the stew, raising expectations ― until Yoo took a taste and winced. “Pretty sure we overdid the sesame oil,” he admitted.
“Let it keep simmering ― it’ll settle,” HAHA reassured. But after sampling, Choi Daniel called it “like the kind of Korean food you get overseas,” and Kim Jong-kook nodded: “Exactly. Tastes like what we had in Manchester.”
Cue an emergency fix: Yoo and HAHA threw in everything that might cut the richness ― and, in a last-ditch move, even a shake of beef-flavored seasoning went into the pot.
Moments later, Yang Se-chan took a spoonful and grinned. “It’s good,” he said, finally letting Yoo and HAHA breathe a sigh of relief.
