INFINITE’s Lee Sung-yeol will unveil a special release titled “Asteroid” on Dec. 12―a musical thank-you to the fans who’ve supported him over the years.
His agency said the project distills the gratitude he’s long carried for fans, adding that Lee “carefully shaped long-held emotions and stories into these songs” with the hope of speaking to them as honestly as possible.
The title track “Asteroid” underscores that sincerity. Lee took a hands-on role alongside the composer to preserve the song’s tone, phrasing and emotional detail while delivering his feelings intact.
The digital single features three tracks: the title cut “Asteroid,” plus “One Step Closer” and “DIVE.” A photobook album version will also be available for collectors.
“Asteroid” paints a delicate portrait of a heart wavering in love―like a tiny star adrift in a vast cosmos. Whisper-soft vocals glide over a gentle melody, orbiting until they finally settle, evoking the image of an asteroid finding its path. It’s the clearest snapshot yet of Lee’s deepened artistry and color.
“I’m able to sing because of INSPIRIT and DEARYEOL, who always listen to me and INFINITE, laugh with us, and share their feelings,” Lee said, adding, “I’m excited for the road we’ll keep walking together.”
Lee is also planning an Asia fan meeting tour in the first half of next year, marking a meaningful return to face time with fans.
