BAEKHO to Enlist in South Korean Army at 30, Quiet December 29 Entry

BAEKHO, formerly of NU'EST, will begin his mandatory service on Dec. 29, enlisting as an active-duty soldier in the South Korean Army.

His agency announced via a fan platform that he will enter an Army training center that day for basic training before serving on active duty. There will be no official send-off, and the company asked fans to refrain from visiting the site out of respect for other recruits and their families.

The team also thanked fans in advance for their warm support until he returns safely.

Born in July 1995, BAEKHO was due to enlist this year. Despite online buzz about a possible exemption, he previously made clear he was awaiting active-duty enlistment.

After debuting with NU'EST in 2012, BAEKHO promoted with sub-unit NU'EST W and has since released solo music.
