
Park Chan-wook’s "No Other Choice" has scored three Golden Globe nominations, including Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.
Announced Dec. 8 (local time), the 83rd Golden Globes named "No Other Choice" a contender for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy (Lee Byung-hun), and Best Motion Picture - Non-English Language.
The Globes split their film awards into Drama and Musical or Comedy. In the latter, "No Other Choice" will compete with "One Battle After Another," "Blue Moon," "Bugonia," "Marty Supreme," and "Nouvelle Vague."

Lee Byung-hun, who anchors the film as Mansu, also landed a Best Actor nomination in the Musical or Comedy field. He’s up against Timothee Chalamet (Marty Supreme), George Clooney (Jay Kelly), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), and Jesse Plemons (Bugonia).
"No Other Choice" is additionally nominated for Best Motion Picture - Non-English Language, alongside "It Was Just an Accident," "The Secret Agent," "Sentimental Value," "Sirât," and "The Voice of Hind Rajab."
In 2020, Bong Joon Ho’s "Parasite" became the first Korean film to win the Globes’ Non-English Language prize.
"No Other Choice" follows Mansu (Lee Byung-hun), a white-collar worker who thinks he’s finally made it―until a sudden layoff forces him into a personal war to protect his wife, two kids, and the hard-won home they share, sending him on a relentless quest to get back on his feet. The film opened in Korea on Sept. 24 and drew 2.94 million moviegoers nationwide.

Netflix’s "KPop Demon Hunters" also picked up two nods. The animated feature is up for Best Animated Feature, competing with five other titles including "Zootopia 2" and "Arco," and its original track “Golden” is nominated for Best Original Song. “Golden” will face “Dream as One” from "Avatar: Fire and Ash," “I Lied to You” from "Sinners," “No Place Like Home” and “The Girl in the Bubble” from "Wicked: For Good," and “Train Dreams” from "Train Dreams."
The 83rd Golden Globes will be held Jan. 11, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
