SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Dynamic Kiss' (written by Ha Yoon-a and Tae Kyung-min; directed by Kim Jae-hyun and Kim Hyun-woo) is on a tear, riding massive buzz at home and abroad. The series has ruled Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English) at No. 1 for two straight weeks (Nov. 24-Dec. 7) after debuting at No. 3 worldwide in its first week, climbing to No. 2 in week two, then hitting No. 1 in weeks three and four.
Episode 9, which aired Dec. 10, marked a major turning point in the slow-burn between Gong Ji-hyeok (Jang Ki-yong) and Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin). After learning Da-rim wasn’t secretly a mom or married, Ji-hyeok finally decided to go all in―and sealed it with a kiss in the closing scene, sending viewers’ dopamine levels soaring.
With fans wondering whether their romance can actually take off, the production unveiled a telling preview still on Dec. 11 to stoke the anticipation.
In the photo, Ji-hyeok is curled up asleep on a sofa that appears to be in Da-rim’s home, while Da-rim leans in as if to drape a blanket over him. Then she suddenly covers her mouth in shock as she looks at him―begging the question, what did she notice?
Earlier, when the pair were stranded alone on an island, Ji-hyeok fled outside to cool off after watching Da-rim sleep, overwhelmed by feelings he couldn’t contain. This time, the roles are reversed: Da-rim watches Ji-hyeok. With every secret out and a confession already on the table, will she finally be honest about her own heart?
