Billed as a fantasy rom-com, the series pairs a nine-tailed fox who has zero interest in becoming human with a gloriously self-absorbed soccer star. Their love-hate collision kick-starts a strange, magnetic romance between Eun-ho (Kim Hye-yoon) and Kang Si-yeol (Lomon).
The wait alone is reason enough to buzz: it’s Kim’s first project in about 20 months since global sensation "Lovely Runner." Here, she plays Eun-ho, an eccentric gumiho determined to avoid turning human. She sidesteps even the tiniest good deeds―just in case―and steers clear of any truly bad mischief for fear of losing a millennium of fox magic. Then, an unexpected twist upends her carefully managed fox life.
The newly released photos capture Eun-ho hiding her true identity while striding through the human world. Sleek, eye-catching styling amplifies her ageless beauty and cool, untouchable aura―especially a striking red suit paired with a dangerously alluring gaze. Rumor has it she can grant wishes―for a price―raising curiosity about her uncanny powers. In another shot, the “Gen Z gumiho” dives into a full-on shopping spree, blending right in with her human peers. Kim’s take on a fox who wants nothing to do with humanity promises a fresh spin on a familiar myth.
“Kim Hye-yoon brings a more mature, multifaceted charm to Eun-ho, our Gen Z gumiho,” the production team said, adding that her love-hate chemistry with Lomon will be one to watch.
"Human from Today" follows "Taxi Driver 3" and premieres Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
