On the Dec. 12 episode, comedian Kim Won-hoon―beloved by viewers from their teens through their 30s―shows up as the 10th featured star in the show’s “My Star” segment.
Kim’s YouTube trio Shortbox has built a massive following with everyday-life sketches, racking up roughly 3.7 million subscribers and about 1.3 billion lifetime views. This week, the ‘Manager Seojin’ crew tags along as Kim shoots new Shortbox content.
Making his entrance, Kim declares, “I’ll fully commit to the bit,” then promptly unleashes blunt one-liners at Kim Kwang-gyu and even drops a few NSFW zingers in Lee’s direction―showing a very different energy from past “My Star” guests.
When the team stops by the Shortbox office to prep, they start clearing out piles of props and, on a whim, try selling them secondhand. It’s Lee’s first time using a resale app, and he’s instantly hooked―quipping that “watching the cash roll in is addictive”―before taking it a step further and modeling clothes himself for listing photos.
Earlier this month, Shortbox’s “College Interview” sketch featured surprise cameos from Lee and Kim Kwang-gyu, amassing nearly 2 million views in just three days. The episode will reveal behind-the-scenes moments from that shoot―and how the drama vets adapt to Shortbox’s fast, punchy comedy style.
After a full day playing gofer for the "Manager Seojin" squad, Kim sums it up with a hilariously blunt take, teasing just how chaotic things got on set.
Watch meme-maker Kim Won-hoon team up with Gen Xer Lee Seo-jin when "Manager Seojin" airs tonight (Dec. 12) at 11:10 p.m. KST on SBS.
