Kang Hoon Crashes 'Running Man' After a Year, Shoots His Shot with a 'Ye-eun' Acrostic
Running ManActor Kang Hoon, one of the show’s original temporary members, is making a long-awaited return to “Running Man.”

He’ll drop by the long-running SBS variety hit this Sunday, marking his first appearance in about a year.

Kang recently joined a taping. After the initial shock, the cast quickly remembered his stickler, by-the-book streak―and were soon groaning and clutching their heads in mock agony.

Leaning into his “ex-fling” lore with Ji Ye-eun, Kang revived the bold, straight-to-the-point two-line acrostic flirting he’d shown on another show―this time using “Ye-eun.” Fellow “fling heartthrob” Choi Daniel jumped in, too. Tune in to see how their wordplay landed on air.

To celebrate a rare gathering of the show’s beloved youngest members, this week’s race is branded “Precious Maknaes,” with the youngest taking over as team captains. In a cheeky twist, the maknae crowned “most precious” by the seniors gets a penalty, while the senior who casts the most votes walks away with a prize. Thanks to a handy “reverse card” for the maknae, rewards and punishments can flip at any moment―so expect the rare sight of seniors tiptoeing around the youngsters.

The “Precious Maknaes” race airs Sunday at 6:10 p.m. KST on “Running Man.”
