DAY6 drops its first-ever holiday single, 'Lovin' the Christmas,' today (Dec. 15) at 6 p.m. KST.
Fresh off a milestone year that kicked off with the breezy spring digital single 'Maybe Tomorrow' celebrating their 10th anniversary―plus a full album, fan meetings and concerts―the band caps 2025 with a seasonal thank-you to My Day, their devoted fandom, via 'Lovin' the Christmas.'
Sharing their thoughts through JYP Entertainment on release day, SUNGJIN said, "Wishing everyone a warm Christmas." YOUNG K added with a grin, "I hope 'Lovin' the Christmas' becomes your go-to every year for a very merry holiday." WONPIL noted, "I've always wanted to work on a carol, so I'm thrilled we finally get to share one. May it keep your year-end cozy," while DOWOON joked, "Our first Christmas track is here―and it's a knockout."
The members also teased what to listen for. SUNGJIN called it "a perfect soundtrack for that fluttery feeling while you count down to Christmas." YOUNG K said, "Picture your own kind of holiday as you listen―build your memories with this song." WONPIL hoped fans "find their own groove and enjoy a fun, warm Christmas," and DOWOON highlighted "a zesty chorus wrapped in a snug holiday vibe."
'Lovin' the Christmas' bottles up warm-and-fizzy holiday spirit, with a vintage sheen inspired by '60s and '70s Motown. Shimmering melodies and affectionate lyrics deliver a soft, feel-good glow.
Up next, DAY6 will play a three-night stand at KSPO DOME in Seoul's Songpa District from Dec. 19 to 21 for 2025 DAY6 Special Concert 'The Present.' The final show on Dec. 21 will also stream as a paid online broadcast via the Beyond LIVE platform.
