On Dec. 15, the team behind "Taxi Driver 3" (from writer Oh Sang-ho and director Kang Bo-seung) dropped a special character poster for Jang, following Kasamatsu Sho, Yoon Shi-yoon and Um Moon-suk―further cementing the series’ reputation for a steady parade of scene-stealing villains.
Last week, Um Moon-suk arrived as the third antagonist, Cheon Kwang-jin, a remorseless criminal tied to illegal gambling, match-fixing, murder and more. Episode 8 peaked at 15.6% nationwide, topping its time slot and leading all miniseries for the week; in the core 20-49 demo, it hit a high of 5.19%, ranking No. 1 across channels in December.
Now comes the fourth villain: Kang Joo-ri, a former girl-group idol turned entertainment agency CEO. Behind her polished success lies twisted ambition and greed―marking the first outright villain of Jang Na-ra’s career. A silhouette teaser poster before the season premiere had fans guessing she’d joined the cast, and the full reveal has only cranked up anticipation.
In the new poster, Jang’s luxe, razor-sharp styling turns heads―but it’s the chill in her gaze and the sly curl of her lips that do the talking, hinting at a witchy menace we haven’t seen from her before. Viewers are eager to see how her dark turn collides with Lee Je-hoon’s vigilante driver, Kim Do-gi.
“Episodes 9 and 10 zero in on the exploitation, power abuse and corruption hiding behind K-pop’s glossy success,” the producers tease. “We’re thrilled to have Jang Na-ra―long trusted for her range―powering the story. She flips her wholesome image on its head as a fierce antagonist, and her transformation will be a fresh highlight. Stay tuned.”
"Taxi Driver 3" returns with Episode 9 on Friday, Dec. 19, at 9:50 p.m. KST.
