Police Log Six Cases Tied to Park Na-rae, Promise 'Rigorous' Probe

Police have logged six cases connected to comedian Park Na-rae, authorities confirmed.

At a regular briefing on the 15th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said five complaints name Park as the accused, while one case was filed by Park’s side.

The development follows allegations by her former managers, who filed a criminal complaint accusing Park of aggravated assault and reported her for alleged violations of Korea’s Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, claiming she used company funds for personal purposes, including expenses tied to an ex-boyfriend. They also alleged workplace bullying, verbal abuse, and unpaid production costs.

According to police, the five cases in which Park is the accused are all being handled by the Gangnam Police Station; key allegations include aggravated assault and violations of medical law. A police official said interviews with complainants have not yet begun but added the investigation will be conducted “fairly and rigorously” in accordance with procedure.

Park’s camp filed a countersuit on Dec. 6, accusing the former managers of extortion. That case is being investigated by the Yongsan Police Station.

Separately, Park has been accused of receiving illegal medical treatments and proxy prescriptions from a so-called “injection aunt,” an unlicensed provider. Through the government’s online petition portal, a complaint alleging violations of the Narcotics Control Act, the Medical Service Act and the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act by Park, the “injection aunt,” and the former managers was filed with the Gangnam Police Station.
