YouTube star Yu Hye-ju (34) is expecting her second child.
The creator, who boasts more than 1 million subscribers, shared the news on Dec. 15 with a video titled “Finally, Baby No. 2 Is Here” on her channel LIJULIKE.
In the clip, Yu checks a pregnancy test before heading out and gasps when she sees two lines, admitting she felt a mix of excitement and nerves. She added that her husband didn’t know yet because things had been so hectic and teased a car-ride surprise reveal. She laughed recalling that her son, Yu Jun, spotted the test and asked, “What’s this? Why is it so long?”
Her husband, Jo Jung-yeon (38), initially mistook the test for an AirPods case, then teared up when he realized what it was. He said he’s convinced the baby is a girl and shared a taemong―Korea’s traditional “pregnancy dream”―about a snake entering her belly.
While driving, Yu asked their son if he’d like a sibling. Without missing a beat, he answered, “A little sister,” which melted viewers’ hearts.
Yu married Jo, a former Korean Air purser, in April 2019 after two years of dating. She announced her first pregnancy in August 2022 and welcomed their son, Jo Yu Joon, on Feb. 18, 2023. Their second child is due in July 2026.
Launching LIJULIKE in 2018 with everyday vlogs, Yu has since leaned into family content, often featuring moments with her son. She appeared on MBC’s "Radio Star" last October to talk parenting, and in November released the essay collection “We Live in Love” with her husband.
