On the Dec. 21 episode of SBS’s "Running Man," the cast kicked off a new race with a new lead producer at the helm.
The members introduced the incoming showrunner, PD Hyeong-seon, who steps in after PD Hyeong-in wrapped his run last week.
Kim Jong-kook lit up at the familiar face, and Yoo Jae-suk joked, "He’s the PD who handled Jong-kook during his rough-and-tumble days," formally welcoming the new chief.
The cast teased that Hyeong-seon brings big energy and says exactly what’s on his mind―never one to hold back―raising expectations for this next chapter.
This week’s race doubled as a Christmas special: each member had to track down every gift assigned to them from a pile of presents they might not personally need―but their rivals definitely would.
The grab bag ran the gamut, from a foot callus remover and a set of shot glasses to a hair styler, premium body lotion, leopard-print underwear, and even Yeongdeok snow crab―deflating the cast’s excitement.
Then came the shocker: a half-don 24K gold key worth about 450,000 won. "One of us actually put that up?" the members gasped, as the stakes shot up.
