On the Dec. 21 episode of SBS’s “My Little Old Boy,” veteran broadcaster Lee Geum-hee appeared as a special MC and playfully crowned herself the show’s ultimate “problem child.”
Host Shin Dong-yup teased that he’d wanted to book Lee “for ages,” calling her the real-deal spirit of “My Little Old Boy.” Lee leaned into the bit, admitting with a laugh that she’s still single. “It just never lined up,” she said. “Honestly, I didn’t think I’d still be on my own by now.” She added that she still dreams of marriage, but the right timing hasn’t come along.
Describing herself as someone who gives her all in relationships, Lee said, “I love taking care of the person I’m with.” That prompted panelist Seo Jang-hoon to quip, “So… were these guys between jobs?” Lee laughed and confessed, “Pretty much. I’ve dated men without jobs or cars. I’ve never dated someone who had a lot to his name.”
When Seo pressed, “So you go strictly by looks?” Lee didn’t flinch: “Pretty much.” As Shin joked she might be the “final boss” of looks-first dating, Lee shrugged, “Embarrassing, but true,” sending the studio into laughter.
