Disney+ rolls out its new original series "Made in Korea", led by Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung, this afternoon (Dec. 24).
Set amid the turmoil and takeoff of 1970s South Korea, the series tracks Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), a businessman bent on turning the nation into his profit engine as he climbs to the peak of wealth and power, and Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung), a prosecutor whose relentless pursuit drives him to chase Ki-tae to the brink. Their cat-and-mouse game collides with era-defining scandals along the way.
Ahead of the Episodes 1-2 debut, a striking duo poster has cranked up the hype. With contrasting color palettes to underscore two very different temperaments, the visual tees up the showdown at a glance. "If Baek Ki-tae runs cold, Jang Geon-young burns hot," says director Woo Min-ho―promising a full-throttle clash of opposites and tightly wound storytelling.
Fresh preview stills from Episodes 1 and 2 push anticipation even higher, zeroing in on the taut standoff between an ambition-fueled businessman and a dogged prosecutor on the trail of a criminal cartel.

First up, Baek Ki-tae in an airplane seat―one image that sparks a flood of questions. A second still, sharply contrasting his cool, composed first look, hints at the unpredictable moves to come. Another shot, featuring an intense wiretap setup, underscores his by-any-means-necessary ruthlessness.
Facing him head-on, prosecutor Jang Geon-young brings a completely different temperature. Oversized glasses and a rugged coat speak volumes, cementing his presence. When the two finally lock eyes, their differences explode on-screen, cranking the tension to a boil. As Ki-tae reaches for the pinnacle of power while living a double life, Jang confronts the cartel’s true face―setting the stage for a blistering first clash of competing ambitions.
Capping off 2025 in style, "Made in Korea" premieres Episodes 1 and 2 today exclusively on Disney+, followed by two more on Dec. 31 and one each on Jan. 7 and Jan. 14―for a total of six episodes.
