'Elevator Hug & Kiss' Allegations: Trot Singer Says "I'm Also a Victim," Legal Fight Ahead

A trot singer identified only as “A,” who shot to fame on a TV audition series after years hustling as an unknown, is now embroiled in allegations of an affair with a married man.

A woman identified as “B,” who says she’s been married for 20 years, claims she contacted the singer through their agency but was told to “handle your family issues yourself” and even faced threats of legal action. She says that’s why she filed a civil suit against the alleged third party.

On Dec. 29, JTBC’s news program “Crime Chief” reported the allegations, citing B’s account. According to B, her husband began going out more frequently and, by February, was spending long stretches away from home. She says she found notes in his phone with Singer A’s name and birthday. Although her husband insisted they were “just friends,” her suspicions grew and she reached out to A directly.

The broadcast also aired what it said was apartment security-camera footage. After other passengers exit an elevator, a man and woman are seen kissing and embracing. B says she was devastated after seeing the clip and repeatedly asked A to stop seeing her husband, but claims those requests were refused.

B’s side says they sent a certified demand letter and proceeded with a lawsuit against the alleged affair partner. They add that A later reached out, saying they were “a victim, too,” and asked for leniency, citing livelihood concerns and potential penalty fees.

Singer A’s camp, via the program, said they began dating after being told the marriage was already over and ended the relationship once they realized that wasn’t the case. They intend to address the matter through legal channels.
