Best Newcomer AwardKim Won-hoon and Lee Su-ji of "My Turn" took home Best Newcomer honors.

The 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards, broadcast live from SBS Prism Tower in Seoul’s Sangam-dong at 8:50 p.m., crowned the duo with the night’s rookie prize.

“Thank you for such a meaningful award,” Kim began, adding with a laugh, “I’ve never been lucky with trophies, so I figured this would be another tough one. I even thought, ‘If I don’t win again, maybe I should cause a scene.’”

Kim reflected on his decade-long grind: “I debuted in 2015, so this is year ten. I love comedy, but there were moments I wondered if being a comedian just wasn’t for me. To me, this isn’t an award for doing well―it’s an award for hanging in there. So I’m going to keep hanging in there, even harder.”

He thanked his castmates, the production team, and his family, then lightened the mood: “My dad’s been saying he wants to quit his job lately. I once told him I’d handle his retirement, but maybe I spoke too soon,” he joked, drawing laughs.

Lee Su-ji looked back on her early days at the network. “I joined SBS as a public recruit at 24. I didn’t win Best Newcomer then, so getting it now feels especially meaningful,” she said.

Shouting out her colleagues, she added, “We filmed through the summer heat. It was brutal, but I was genuinely happy on set.”

“Winning tonight makes me want to reset with a rookie mindset,” Lee Su-ji said. “I’ll be back next year working to bring effortless laughs.”
