The 2025 SBS Drama Awards, broadcast live from 8:50 p.m. KST on Dec. 31 at SBS Prism Tower in Mapo, Seoul, saw the two actors tie for the trophy in the Human Fantasy division for miniseries.
Yohan Kim, who played the captain of Hanyang PE High School’s rugby team in the drama Try, called the role “a gift,” thanking the writer for crafting Seon-jun and the director “for wrangling our wonderfully chaotic rugby squad―I owe you and I’m grateful.”
He added, “We trained and shot for nearly a year, and looking back, it was all happy moments.” He thanked his colleagues and mentors on set and gave a special shout-out to his rugby teammates, crediting them with helping him power through the toughest days.
Jihoon Kim, who portrayed a king in Haunted Palace, joked, “I was in the same category as Sungjae Yook, so I’d already made peace with not winning. I almost missed my own name, but thank you for this huge honor.”
He continued, “Haunted Palace is a special project. It’s rare as an actor to meet a character you’re proud to add to your filmography. Thanks to a production team that trusted me, I was able to build a character I can truly stand behind.”
Kim also expressed heartfelt thanks to his agency head and his family.
