Yoon earned the honor for his shape-shifting turn in the drama TRY: We Become Miracles, a performance that impressed the show's directors enough to select him for the prize.
"I honestly didn’t see this coming, so I’m thrilled―and a little shaky," he began from the stage.
He went on to thank his fellow cast members, including the Hanyang Technical High School rugby squad featured in the series, as well as the entire production team.
"I came here hoping our kids would get some recognition tonight, and then I ended up with this huge award," he said with a laugh. "Thank you so much for the surprise."
Yoon also shouted out his team: "To my managers at Just Entertainment―these five years have been happy ones, and I’m counting on you going forward. And to everyone on the TRY set, thank you."
He then turned to family. "Mom and Dad, I love you," he said, before closing with a heartfelt message to his wife: "When we got married, you kept saying, ‘I hope you win an award someday,’ and you’ve been singing that tune for four years. I think I won this because of you. I love you so much―thank you. See you later."
