Bada, the powerhouse lead vocalist of first-gen K-pop trio S.E.S., is opening a new chapter with a return to ballads.
The singer drops her new single “Our Loud Goodbye” on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. KST, signaling a fresh pivot from her recent output and promising another leap forward artistically.
A teaser released Jan. 2 showcases Bada pouring out the raw ache of parting, cutting between restrained emotion and sky-high belts that hint at the song’s dramatic arc. Her control and explosive high notes spotlight the grief and vulnerability at the heart of the track.
“Our Loud Goodbye” captures the emotional whirlpool at love’s end, lit up by Bada’s clear, sturdy tone and commanding vocal presence. The climactic final chorus, in particular, is poised to be a reminder of why she remains one of K-pop’s definitive vocal divas.

The track was crafted specifically for Bada by hitmaking producer duo ROCOBERRY, the team behind smashes like Ailee’s “I Will Go to You Like the First Snow,” and Paul Kim’s “So Long.” They reportedly spent extensive time fine-tuning this ballad to spotlight Bada’s strengths.
A representative from WaveNine shared, “This single reveals a new side of Bada. As a song that opens a fresh page in her career, we hope ‘Our Loud Goodbye’ offers warm comfort to anyone who’s lived through a parting.”
Most recently, Bada earned global love for her cover of “Golden” from the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," and last summer she reaffirmed her status as a “vocalist you can trust” with the breezy single “Love Wave.”
