Screen Legend Ahn Sung-ki Posthumously Awarded Korea's Highest Cultural Honor
Ahn Sung-kiOn the afternoon of Jan. 5, the Geumgwan (Gold Crown) Order of Cultural Merit―posthumously awarded by the South Korean government―was placed at the memorial altar for the late Ahn Sung-ki at the Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul’s Seocho District.

Ahn Sung-ki was rushed to Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Seoul on Dec. 30 after suffering cardiac arrest and had been treated in the ICU. He died on Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. with his family by his side. He was 74. (Photo Pool)
