Premiering worldwide on January 20, "Single’s Inferno" strands contestants on the remote “Inferno” island with one goal: spark a match and earn a coveted escape to “Paradise.” Since its 2021 debut, the franchise has owned the global dating-reality conversation; now Season 5 ups the ante with bolder singles and even messier chemistry.
A newly unveiled main poster teases seven eye-catching contestants and promises a “no-lines-left-to-cross flirting war,” sending anticipation soaring. With past breakout names like Freezia, DEX, Lee Kwan-hee, and Lee Si-an setting the bar, viewers are eager to meet the new faces ready to jump-start everyone’s love sensors.
The main trailer doubles down on the chaos: steamy, up-close moments cut to unabashed confessions―“I think I’m really falling in love,” “How do you like younger?” and “I want you.” Even veteran hosts Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, Hanhae, KyuHyun, and DEX―now pros at navigating the Inferno―collectively gasp, “Season 5 is insane,” as sparks fly faster than ever.
True to form, the show delivers drama more addictive than a scripted series: “You’re touching the queen’s man? You think you can?” clashes with “Don’t tell me what to do,” while tender romance, whiplash-inducing reversals, and can’t-predict-it twists keep even the five MCs on edge. Consider this your warning for a peak-all-in season.
Then comes the jaw-dropper: “Can I leave 'Single’s Inferno' with two men?” The MCs’ total meltdown says it all―expect sugar-sweet Paradise dates, scorching Inferno stand-offs, and players who know exactly how to toy with your heart.
Directors Kim Jae-won, Kim Jeong-hyeon, and Park Su-ji tease a bigger, ensemble-style tapestry this time around. “This season had more ‘main characters’ than any other,” they note. “Instead of centering on one or two breakout stars, it feels like an ensemble film―think Love Actually―where diverse personalities drive their own compelling arcs.”
Host Hong Jin-kyung adds, “Watching how people change within the limits of Inferno and the fixed timeline was fascinating.” Lee Da-hee points to the cast’s new boldness: “Instead of playing games or hiding feelings, they show interest quickly and own their choices.”
KyuHyun calls the contestants’ fearless moves the season’s defining trait, while Hanhae hints at a franchise-first mission that shakes up emotions in unexpected ways. And DEX sums it up: “The biggest draw this season is personality. With so many unpredictable contestants, guessing who’s into whom will keep you hooked through the finale.”
