Lee Je-hoon's 'Taxi Driver 3' Stays Red-Hot: Series-High Ratings, No. 1 in Buzz & Streaming
Taxi Driver 3The people’s hero is taking one last victory lap. SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama "Taxi Driver 3" is barreling toward its finale with no signs of slowing down.

Back two years after Season 2, "Taxi Driver 3" follows the shadowy Rainbow Taxi and cabbie vigilante Kim Do-gi as they deliver eye-for-an-eye justice on behalf of the wronged. This latest chapter has drawn raves for its cinematic flair, tighter-than-ever “Rainbow Dark Heroes” teamwork, a universe that smartly builds on prior seasons, and a stacked lineup of villains. The show blitzed domestic and global metrics out of the gate, then cracked the double-digit ratings barrier in Week 2. At the 2025 SBS Drama Awards, Lee Je-hoon (Kim Do-gi) clinched his second Grand Prize for the franchise, cementing the series as a bona fide national hero drama.

With just two episodes left, "Taxi Driver 3" keeps rewriting its own records. Episode 14 soared to a series-high 18.5% at peak, with 15.1% in the Seoul metro and 14.2% nationwide. Among viewers 20-49, it hit 4.8% (peaking at 5.75%), ranking No. 1 across all programs to kick off the new year and extending its runaway momentum.

The buzz is blazing, too. In Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex for Week 1 of January (tallied Dec. 29, 2025-Jan. 4, 2026), "Taxi Driver 3" topped the TV-OTT drama chart, while Lee Je-hoon claimed No. 1 in the combined TV-OTT talent ranking.

Streaming? Also dominant. In KinoLights’ integrated content chart for the same week, "Taxi Driver 3" ranked No. 1 across all titles, spanning dramas, films, and variety. It also held the top spot on FlixPatrol’s Jan. 5 “Korea Netflix Top 10 Series.” Over on IMDb, Episodes 1?14 average a stellar 9.2 rating (as of Jan. 6), underscoring the show’s staying power in a crowded content field.

As fans brace for goodbye, the two-part finale airs Friday and Saturday, Jan. 9-10. The last mission takes the team into a military base for a revenge-for-hire operation. Veteran scene-stealer Kim Jong-soo steps in as the ultimate big bad, Oh Won-sang, with a special appearance by Jeon So-ni as Yoo Seon-ah―setting the stage for a high-octane, all-guns-blazing climax.

"Taxi Driver 3" airs Episode 15 on Friday, Jan. 9, at 9:50 p.m.
