SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama "Taxi Driver 3" (written by Oh Sang-ho, directed by Kang Bo-seung) follows the shadowy Rainbow Taxi company and driver Kim Do-gi, who delivers justice for victims failed by the system. With the show’s writer-director-star trio firing on all cylinders, the season has notched new ratings highs week after week and now barrels into its endgame.
Ahead of Episode 15 on the 8th, the series unveiled stills of Kim Do-gi (Lee Je-hoon) back in uniform as “Captain Kim,” instantly turning heads. Before joining Rainbow Taxi, Do-gi served in the military ― and the question is why he’s returned to his old post now.
In the new shots, Do-gi trades his signature bomber jacket for fatigues, serving up a fresh dose of charisma. Fully kitted out in tactical gear ― helmet, body armor, rifle ― he sweeps a derelict building with precision straight out of a military thriller. A crisp salute and commanding presence hint at a soldier who’s equal parts steel and restraint. Late at night, he’s not behind the wheel of the taxi but a military truck, eyes set and unflinching ― raising the stakes around the target he’s hunting.
Episode 15 finds Do-gi reeling after news that Yoo Seon-a (Jeon So-ni) ― a former subordinate he deeply cared for during his service ― has died under mysterious circumstances. After losing his mother, the devastating blow pushes him back into the military to uncover the truth himself. How he’ll punch through airtight security and an orchestrated cover-up ― and what kind of “lesson” his brand of justice will deliver ― sets the stage for the season’s final revenge mission.
"Taxi Driver 3" airs Episode 15 tonight (Jan. 9) at 9:50 p.m., with the finale (Episode 16) following on the 10th.
