The romantic drama "Once We Were Us", starring Koo Kyo-hwan and Moon Ga-young, has recouped its production costs just 13 days after release.

According to the Korean Film Council’s KOBIS box office tracker, the film drew 54,420 admissions nationwide on Jan. 12, holding the No. 1 spot. Its cumulative tally has climbed to 1,100,844 admissions.

With that milestone, "Once We Were Us" has officially hit break-even on Day 13 and now ranks as the No. 2 romance since "Decision to Leave" (2022), which finished with 1,910,216 admissions. Even in its third weekend, daily turnout is hovering around the 50,000 range―putting the 2 million mark within reach.

"Once We Were Us" follows former lovers Eun-ho (Koo) and Jung-won (Moon), who unexpectedly reunite a decade later and revisit the memories―and what-ifs―of a once-blazing romance.
