Actor Lee Byung-hun took fans inside the Golden Globes, sharing a flurry of snaps that captured the buzz of the night.

On Jan. 12, Lee posted a carousel on his socials, tagging the Golden Globes and his film “No Other Choice.”

Held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, the 83rd Golden Globes served as a major milestone for Lee, who hit the press line in a sharp black tux to toast his historic nomination ― the first Korean actor up for Best Actor in a film category.

He also shared a screen grab of the six Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy nominees lined up on the live broadcast ― standing shoulder to shoulder with heavyweights like George Clooney, Ethan Hawke, and Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as Jesse Plemons and Timothee Chalamet. The trophy ultimately went to Chalamet for his turn in “Marty Supreme.”

While Lee came up short again after the Gothams and Critics Choice Awards, there was still reason to celebrate: the Netflix animated feature “KPop Demon Hunters,” to which he lent his voice, scored big with wins for Animated Feature and Original Song.

Lee’s “No Other Choice” also contended for Best Motion Picture ― Musical or Comedy and Best Non-English Language Film, though it left without a statuette.

The Oscar race isn’t over yet: the film now eyes March’s Academy Awards shortlists, with hopes for International Feature Film and a Best Actor nod for Lee.
