Airing Jan. 20, the episode finds hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok heading to Daejeon with “gap friends” HAEWON and fellow NMIXX member SULLYOON, bringing an infectious dose of good vibes along the way.
From the jump, HAEWON’s quick wit locks in the MCs. She drives the banter with big, meme-ready reactions, and when Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok start playfully squabbling over driving, she quips, “You two are like a long-term couple,” dubbing them the “Yoo-Yoo Couple” to loud laughs. Asked to sum herself up, she jokes she’s “the type who’s involved in everything,” turning the set into a laugh factory.
But HAEWON also admits her “TV show idol” persona can be a lot. “I react to everything ― it even happens at my parents’ house without me noticing,” she says, noting that bouncing between TV and YouTube has her entertainer mode switched on 24/7. Yoo Jae-suk jumps in with a knowing nod: “Same here. At home I’m still going, ‘Oh really?’ and ‘Is that so?’”
Then comes a rare crack in HAEWON’s armor. Renowned as a “hexagon idol” with sharp TV show instincts and rock-solid vocals, she meets a deceptively tough on-the-spot challenge and suddenly looks rattled. She breaks a sweat at the surprise difficulty, and even a diehard NMIXX fan appearing as the challenge’s “gap owner” is stunned to see her struggle. “The pressure is real,” HAEWON admits.
Will the TV show idol wow the Yoo-Yoo duo once again? And can HAEWON shake off the nerves to deliver some luck to Daejeon? "Whenever Possible" airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. KST on SBS.
