Mashima vs. Park Ha-yan: Ace Showdown Ignites 'Kick a Goal'
Kick a Goal"Kick a Goal" is teeing up a clash of its most lethal scorers.

On the January 21 episode of SBS’s "Kick a Goal", the second Group A match of the 2nd G League plays out as the freshly rebooted FC Wonder Woman 2026 faces the lone unchanged defending champs, FC National Team Family.

All eyes are on the marquee duel between top aces Mashima and Park Ha-yan. The last time they met in the GIFA Cup semifinals, National Team Family routed Wonder Woman 3-1. Mashima is out for payback―“This time, I’m getting my revenge”―while Park fires back, “We’ll show you why we’re champions.” From the opening whistle, the two went head-to-head in a blistering battle that cranked up the arena’s energy. Who walks away with bragging rights?

The tension was already crackling before kickoff. FC Wonder Woman 2026, first to hit the pitch, eyed the 2nd G League trophy and vowed, “Let’s get our name on it this time―we’re the only ones missing.” Moments later, the “defending champions” FC National Team Family strode in holding last season’s cup, declaring they want this season’s hardware too. Can they prove, yet again, they’re the team to beat?

Rolling in with the exact roster that won the GIFA Cup, National Team Family looked even tighter with the return of “Mini Bull” Hwang Hee-jung. Add in the relentless high press from “F1-Speed” Kim Min-ji, and the champs showed locked-in balance at both ends from the start. Then Park Ha-yan―on an “11 games, 11 goals” heater―broke through with the opener after a flurry of shots, seizing control of the momentum. Will they ride the wave to their first win of the reboot season?

Two special guests dropped by the stadium: former pro baseball stars Kim Tae-kyun and Moon Seong-hyun. The pair couldn’t stop applauding, calling it “an all-time fun match.” With even Korean baseball legends hooked, expect an unscripted sports drama you can’t look away from.

The rebooted "Kick a Goal" is already surging. Last week’s premiere hit No. 2 on Netflix’s Today’s Top Series in Korea, while the “Episode 0” preview surpassed 1 million views on YouTube. With revamped teams, transfers, and rules, the pace and polish are up, and the tighter storytelling is pulling viewers deeper into every unpredictable showdown.

Mashima vs. Park Ha-yan goes down on "Kick a Goal" this Wednesday, January 21, at 9 p.m. on SBS.
