Ko So-young Quietly Edits YouTube After Backlash Over 'Cash Cow' Building Flex
Ko So-youngActor Ko So-young has trimmed a recent YouTube upload after catching heat for what viewers called a humblebrag about a pricey building tied to her family.

On Jan. 23, Ko shared a vlog titled “It’s Fun Solo or on a Date, But I’m Rolling Solo Today,” taking a casual stroll through Seoul’s Hannam-dong and pointing out local spots.

During the walk, she gestured toward one building and said, “Our building’s doing fine,” adding, “Isn’t that the prettiest one around here?” She then quipped to the property, “Hi, my cash cow,” a playful aside that quickly sparked debate.

The property was purchased in June 2011 by Ko’s husband, actor Jang Dong-gun, for 12.6 billion won, and is now estimated to be worth around 30 billion won. The building spans two underground levels and five above-ground floors.

After the video went live, commenters split: some slammed the moment as tone-deaf―“Celebrity flexes are getting old,” “Feels out of touch,” “Another money brag”―while others defended her: “It’s her channel, let her talk,” “People are reading too much into it.”

Amid the chatter, the controversial snippet was quietly edited out of the upload.
