Actor Seo Ji-hoon will begin active-duty service with the Republic of Korea Army’s 35th Infantry Division on Feb. 3, shortly after wrapping filming on the Netflix series "All of Us Are Dead 2."

Seo will enter quietly without an official send-off. After completing basic training, he’ll fulfill his military duties. "All of Us Are Dead 2" is targeting a release in roughly two years, setting up a post-service reunion with fans.

Seo made a striking debut with "Signal" and has since headlined projects including "School 2017," BTS drama "Begins ≠ Youth," and "My Youth." Known for his leading-man visuals and a widening acting range across genres, he’s steadily built a devoted following.

Through his agency, Management Koo, Seo shared, “I feel at ease having finished filming before enlisting. I’ll faithfully carry out my duty as a Korean citizen and return stronger.”

Management Koo added, “We hope Seo Ji-hoon completes his service safely and in good health, and we ask for your continued warm support.”

Following his discharge, Seo plans to fully resume his acting career.
