On Jan. 29, Netflix announced that "Agents of Mystery" Season 2 will premiere Feb. 27 (Fri.).
Created by showrunner Jung Jong-yeon ― the mastermind behind Netflix’s "The Devil’s Plan" as well as "The Great Escape" and "High School Mystery Club" ― the genre-blending series follows a crack team tackling bizarre, seemingly unexplainable cases with cinematic world-building, intricate sets and gadgets, and high-stakes, reality-style missions. Season 1 drew raves for its immersive storytelling and adrenaline-fueled puzzles ― and the new season promises to level up on every front.
Season 2 deepens the show’s mythology and blows out the scope, layering in bigger set pieces, beefed-up mystery elements, and even more ambitious outdoor missions to kick viewers’ investigative instincts into overdrive.
As agents of the secret organization XIN, the team’s sleuthing gets a major upgrade. Returning favorites Lee Yong-jin, John Park, Hyeri, Kim Do-hoon, and KARINA are back on the case ― and all eyes are on dynamic new recruit Gabee, whose high-energy presence should shake up the squad’s chemistry in the best way.
A newly released teaser sets the tone with a chilling welcome ― “Welcome back to XIN” ― before the team cuts through the darkness toward a desolate lakeside, hinting at the uncanny cases waiting ahead.
“We wanted to break out of confined spaces, so we’re opening with a disruptive story right from Episode 1,” Jung says. “With more active movement through larger locations, the team’s investigations will feel even more thrilling.” He adds, “When I asked myself, ‘Why make 'Agents of Mystery' Season 2?,’ the answer was simple: we still had more to say. If you’re craving the slick spectacle of drama and film with the unfiltered rush of unscripted, this is your show.”
