ENHYPEN’s SUNGHOON took part in the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics torch relay on Feb. 5 (local time) in Milan, proudly carrying the Olympic flame as a torchbearer and spreading a message of peace and unity.

A former figure skating national team reserve, SUNGHOON shared through his agency BELIFT LAB, “It’s overwhelming to step onto the Olympic stage as an artist, something I dreamed of during my athlete days. I’m grateful to join this honorable journey called the Olympics. I drew incredible energy from ENGENE (fandom name) and sports fans.”

Crowds flooded the area near Bolivar Station in Milan to catch a glimpse of him. Fans packed the streets hours before his segment began, draped in Taegeukgi flags and holding signs in Korean that read, “SUNGHOON, fighting!”―turning the winter chill into pure heat.

The scene erupted with chants of his name. As SUNGHOON received the flame and set off, a wave of people moved with him, creating a striking procession. For about 20 minutes, he carried the torch through roaring cheers, sharing the Olympic spirit of solidarity. With bright smiles and waves to fans, he safely passed the flame to the next runner.

Currently a promotional ambassador for the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee and a member of ENHYPEN, SUNGHOON has been championing a core value shared by sports and K-pop: passion for what you love. In line with the group’s aim to connect “people to people” and “world to world” through music, his relay segment became a moment of connection that crossed genres and borders.

Meanwhile, ENHYPEN’s track "SHOUT OUT" from their 3rd mini album "MANIFESTO : DAY 1" was selected as Team Korea’s official cheer song, bringing extra hype to the Olympics.
