The Feb. 11 episode of SBS’s "Kick a Goal" will air the third Group B qualifier of the 2nd G League.
This one is a head-to-head between "Kick a Goal"’s core rivals, FC Gucheokjangshin and FC Actionista. The matchup, nicknamed the show’s own El Clasico―“Aekgurashico”―is finally back after 987 days. Their last big clash in the 2nd Super League semifinals produced a record nine goals in a single game, so another all-out shootout is on deck. With both squads rebuilt and reinforced, all eyes are on whether they’ll write new history this time.
Captains from both teams are locked in. FC Gucheokjangshin’s captain Lee Hyun-yi teased a fiery “sister showdown,” saying, “Actionista and Gucheokjangshin are like sisters. And sisters are always rivals.” FC Actionista’s captain Jung Hye-in declared, “Gucheokjangshin is a really tough opponent. But Actionista is absolutely winning today.”
In their five previous meetings, Actionista leads 3-2. Riding that momentum, Jung Hye-in took charge as the team’s playmaker, directing teammates on how to break down Gucheokjangshin’s defense throughout the match. Who will survive this intense rivalry battle-
Meanwhile, FC Actionista coach Park Joo-ho is betting big for this game. He’s leaving “ace” Park Ji-an out of the starting lineup. Park explained, “We’ll manage Ji-an’s stamina from the bench and bring her on when Gucheokjangshin’s energy dips to go for the goal,” revealing a bold plan tailored to Gucheokjangshin’s ironclad endurance.
Another key storyline: building from the back through goalkeeper Ahn Hye-kyung. After showing up to every training and steadily leveling up, Ahn will lead the backline build-up, while field players―spearheaded by “Hyecom” Jung Hye-in―aim to unlock goals with sharp passing. Will Park Joo-ho’s daring tactics topple rivals Gucheokjangshin and deliver Actionista’s first win of the season-
"Kick a Goal"’s signature rivalry clash―FC Gucheokjangshin vs. FC Actionista―airs Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 9 p.m. on "Kick a Goal".
