On the Feb. 10 episode of SBS’s "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny," Kim Byung-hyun and Han Kyung-min joined the show as a new couple.
It marked the first on-air reveal of Kim’s wife, Han Kyung-min. Greeting her, Kim said, “Welcome. Your hair looks pretty.”
But as soon as she appeared, he got tense and fumbled his words, drawing attention. In contrast, Han naturally introduced herself and kept the conversation going.
Now 16 years into marriage, Kim addressed why he announced their wedding late and why there’s no trace of his wife on his social media: “I wasn’t hiding her. We just live our own lives, so I didn’t make it public.”
Han shared her hurt feelings: “Honestly, I lived wondering if he was ashamed of me. My husband meets my friends and eats with them, but in all this time I’ve barely met any of his friends. He didn’t even want a wedding because he hates gatherings. We only registered our marriage, then after we had our first child, I begged for a year to finally have a ceremony.”
She added, “If you look at our wedding photos, he looks like he doesn’t want to be there. He kept telling them to stop taking pictures,” revealing a story that left viewers puzzled by his behavior.
