The leads of the film "My Name" walked the red carpet at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival.
On the 12th (local time), director Jeong Ji-young and actors Yeom Hye-ran and Shin Woo-bin appeared at the red carpet event held at the Berlinale Palast, located in Marlene-Dietrich-Platz―Berlin’s landmark and a signature spot of the festival.
The area in front of the Berlinale Palast was packed with global movie fans and press, and the "My Name" team stood right at the center of the cheers.
Yeom Hye-ran―who has built a global fandom through Netflix series "The Glory" and "Mask Girl"―shifted the energy on site the moment she arrived. In the film, she plays a mother who has kept a secret for 50 years, navigating emotions from quiet ripples to tidal waves. On the carpet, she radiated her signature blend of elegance and intensity, lighting up Berlin’s night.

Rising newcomer Shin Woo-bin joined her. He plays Yeong-ok, an 18-year-old who sees his own name as a complex. With his debut feature already selected by Berlin, he took in his first international stage with more excitement than nerves―connecting with the crowd and signaling the arrival of a next-gen star.
Veteran director Jeong Ji-young―who explores the tragedy of Korea’s modern history, the Jeju 4.3, through the unique lens of “names”―walked the carpet with a relaxed smile, exuding a master’s composure. As the Berlinale praised the film as “an astonishing work that breaks the silence of a tragic history, and a meticulously plotted piece,” international media crowded in for the director.
With the official trailer dropping first worldwide via the Berlinale website and anticipation peaking, the "My Name" team wrapped the red carpet and kicked off their full slate of official events.

On the 13th, the film will have its world premiere screening, unveiling to audiences for the first time, followed by a greeting and a Q&A for deeper conversation with viewers. The team also plans heartfelt outreach, including meet-ups with Koreans living abroad, to share warmth across Berlin.
The Berlinale-selected "My Name" opens in Korea this April.
