'Whenever Possible' Ji Ye-eun Says 'Running Man' Members Make Her Tear Up
Whenever PossibleJi Ye-eun shared heartfelt thanks to the "Running Man" cast.

On the Feb. 17 episode of SBS’ "Whenever Possible", Jung Sang-hoon and Ji Ye-eun appeared as “Gap Friends.”

The Yoo-Yoo Brothers and their Gap Friends headed indoors to warm up before a meal, zoning out as they thawed.

Talking about SNL, Jung Sang-hoon and Ji Ye-eun said there’s no time for small talk on set. “If a sketch doesn’t land, you feel crushed, and there’s no ‘hey, that was fun’ to soften it,” they shared. “If it’s not funny, the role gets swapped right away,” revealing the razor-thin ice beneath the laughs.

Over the meal, Yoo Yeon-seok asked Ji Ye-eun why she cried so much at the year-end awards. She replied, “I tear up whenever I see the 'Running Man' seniors.” When Yoo Yeon-seok asked, “Because you went through so much together?” she quickly said, “Not exactly,” drawing laughs.

Ji Ye-eun explained, “They really looked out for me when I was struggling. Yoo Jae-suk called me so many times,” expressing her gratitude and warming the room.

Jung Sang-hoon, who’s about to start a new musical, surprised everyone by revealing Ji Ye-eun’s path: “She left the musical theater program at Hanyang Women’s University and transferred to K’ARTS. You could call it the elite track for variety.”

The Yoo-Yoo Brothers asked why she isn’t doing musicals now. Ji Ye-eun said, “I can’t sing. When you stop, your skills fade.”

Even so, the song requests poured in. Ji Ye-eun obliged with a choir-style vocal, instantly chilling the vibe. Embarrassed, she playfully shoved Jung Sang-hoon, who went tumbling to the floor, cracking everyone up.

After eating, the group moved to a cafe for coffee. Jung Sang-hoon phoned his close friend Cho Jung-seok―and naturally passed the phone to Yoo Jae-suk.

Yoo Jae-suk congratulated him: “Cho Jung-seok, congrats,” celebrating the birth of his second child. Cho Jung-seok replied, “Thank you so much, hyung. You were the first to reach out―I thought, ‘As expected, Yoo Jae-suk.’”

Yoo Jae-suk said, “Oh, really? Please tell Gummy I send my big congratulations too,” adding another warm moment before handing the phone to Yoo Yeon-seok.

Yoo Yeon-seok also congratulated Cho Jung-seok. Cho responded, “Thanks. Now you hurry up and get married. Don’t keep it secret―just do it,” giving the kind of holiday-style nagging everyone knows. Yoo Yeon-seok finally cut in: “Hyung, I’m hanging up. Happy New Year,” putting a stop to the lecture. He then grumbled, “Even my oldest uncle doesn’t go that far,” making everyone laugh.

At the end of the episode, a preview teased the next Gap Friends: Ra Mi-ran and Joo Jong-hyuk, amping up anticipation for what’s next.
