Joo Jong-hyuk Says He Sobbed at Friends Jang Jae-ho ♥ Gong Min-jung's Wedding: "People Thought I Was the Ex"
Whenever PossibleActor Joo Jong-hyuk is set to show his unexpected soft side on "Whenever Possible".

On the February 24 episode of the SBS show, co-hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok team up with Ra Mi-ran and Joo Jong-hyuk to spread some dopamine around Paju.

During filming, Joo showed a 180-degree shift from his “schemer” Kwon Min-woo persona, revealing a much gentler charm. He drew attention with a story about how his tears sparked a misunderstanding at a close friend’s wedding.

Joo shared that he’s close with actor couple Jang Jae-ho and Gong Min-jung. “I lived with Jae-ho for seven years. I gave a speech at the wedding, and I just couldn’t hold back my tears,” he recalled. “I ended up sobbing so hard that people asked if I was the ex-boyfriend,” he added, making everyone laugh with his unexpectedly tender side.

Joo also opened up about taking on his first play with veteran actor Shin Gu. “Every moment practicing with the teacher is so precious. My heart races every time I go,” he said shyly, cracking up theater seniors Ra Mi-ran and Yoo Yeon-seok.

Elsewhere, Joo was crowned the show’s resident “Compliment Machine.” Every time it was his turn, he insisted, “I think I’ll only succeed if you compliment me,” demanding “one rehearsal, one compliment” and keeping Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok on their toes. When Yoo Jae-suk finally blurted, “Jong-hyuk, give me a chance to praise you!” Ra Mi-ran jumped in with a hearty, “It’s okay, Jong-hyuk, you’ve got this!” turning the set into a laugh fest.

Will “Compliment Machine” Joo Jong-hyuk turn that praise power into next-level game adrenaline? Catch his surprising run on "Whenever Possible", airing Tuesday, February 24 at 9 p.m.
