On the February 24 broadcast of SBS’s "Whenever Possible," co-hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok team up with Ra Mi-ran and Joo Jong-hyuk to spread some feel-good dopamine around Paju.
During filming, Ra Mi-ran drew attention with a surprising confession about a self-inflicted rebound. She previously made headlines for losing 13kg over a year. When Yoo Yeon-seok said, “I’m eating chicken breast because I’m about to start filming,” revealing he’s on a meal plan, Ra Mi-ran replied, “I need to get back on a meal plan, too.” She added with a shy laugh, “I lost the weight, but after a few months of eating whatever I wanted, it shot right back up,” cracking everyone up on set. She then declared, “I don’t even need bread,” calling “Day 1 of my diet” on the spot and surprising the crew.
But for Ra Mi-ran―who’s been “living Paju life” for over a decade―Paju is a foodie paradise. She unleashed her “Paju Cheetah Madam” network of must-eat spots and happily let her guard down in front of familiar flavors. “First, there’s spicy braised chicken, soy-marinated crab, and seafood knife-cut noodles,” she rattled off, excitedly listing favorites. “Should I call the spicy braised chicken owner in advance?” she suggested, locking in the table in record time and leading the foodie tour with giddy energy. The moment she put her spoon down, she chimed in, “Next up, shall we get bread?” even recommending dessert. Yoo Yeon-seok marveled, “All of Paju’s energy is gathered right here.”
In her element as the “Paju Cheetah Madam,” what kind of full-course foodie feast will Ra Mi-ran unveil? SBS’s "Whenever Possible" airs Tuesday the 24th at 9 p.m.
